My Biography
My Biography
I taught humanities in secondary schools for 12 years before transitioning to a role as an educational advisor. Since then, I have continued my career as a school principal while also nurturing my other passion: writing. I began writing over 20 years ago in the field of educational publishing, blending documentary and pedagogical writing with my love for geography.
In 2021, I embarked on writing a novel, Continental Drift, which was published two years later, followed the next year by its sequel, Polishing the Stone. These are two family-themed novels where the exploration of identity during adolescence and early adulthood plays a significant role in the characters’ journeys. The gay romance woven into the stories reflects my own family life with my husband since 2000, along with our beloved cats.
My passion for writing has evolved into a new form of communication and introspection. The power of words allows me to travel through the ideas, emotions, and experiences of my characters. My inspirations stem from the novels of my youth, such as those by Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, Hector Malot, Mark Twain, and Victor Hugo, to name just a few. As a young adult, I discovered Michel Tremblay, Michael Crichton, and John Irving. Today, I’ve lost count of how many novels I’ve read, but I must admit a preference for authors like Michel Folco, Ken Follett, TJ Klune, and J.R. Dos Santos. All these writers have undeniably influenced my writing style.
Through my stories, I aim to move you, make you laugh, give you chills, but above all, transport you to my worlds.
